The Klein Karoo National Arts Festival for 2018 has just finished after the Easter Weekend. This year was the 24th edition of this major festival on the South African Arts and Culture calendar. The main focus of KKNK (Klein Karoo Nationale Kunste-Fees) is to celebrate Afrikaans arts, music and drama but there are many excellent English productions and musicians also partaking.
Our little town of Oudtshoorn (the Ostrich Capitol of the World) undergoes a complete transformation as literally thousands of people descend upon us for the festival. We, at Safari Ostrich Farm, this year bought a stand at the festival where we sold ostrich biltong, pate, feather dusters, ostrich leather key-rings and the like. We also used the platform to promote our Tractor Safari (guided Tours) and scrumptious Ostrich meals which we offer at the farm.
We also had some fun whilst at the festival and invited people to come sit for a selfie with one of our beautiful Ostrich Boas at our stand. We then posted these photos on our facebook page. Here are some of the photos we took of festival goers visiting our stall.
